I’m going to be a bit greedy this year; I want lots of things for my birthday. As if all the pleasure and blessings that I have right now aren’t enough, I want more. Haha Nah, kidding. I want basic thing yet essential things.

For my birthday this year, I want three things. I want the opportunity to at least work one day or a week or for a short period of time just to get glimpse on how the industry works, in three of these companies: a top-notch IMC Company such as Saatchi & Saatchi, a kick-ass personal finance/wealth-management company such as QM Financial and the last, in an tech-savvy Business Consultancy such as Accenture, IBM or Oracle. In the IMC Company, I want to know how they actually plan, design, budget, communicate with client and deliver the marketing campaign. It will be so much better if the media is something digital or online. I’d really want to see and give it a shoot. As in the personal finance/wealth-management company, I also want to know how they approach client, understand their financial needs & goals, plan them, choose the right products and communicate the plan to the customers. I want to know how people react on the plan and how they implement the plan. Personal finance & investment topic is somehow interesting to me recently. And the last, I want the opportunity to work in Business Consultancy Company such as Accenture, IBM, Oracle or BCG. I want to implement the knowledge I learnt in my master study at these institutions. I want to know whether the things I learnt, really applicable in the real life. And I get to implement it in companies where my bachelor degree counts.

People would probably think I’m a very “plin-plan” person. I want to work in three different industries that are not related at all. I was just thinking, before moving on with my life, I need to know which suits me the best, which of the industry will force myself and make the best of me come out of my body. It’s not that I don’t like what I’m doing now; I do like what I’m doing now. But have you ever wondered how it would feel if you’re not doing what you’re doing now? If you choose other career? You gotta love what you do in order for you to be a successful person, to be the 20% of the 100%.

Anyway, it’s only a wish. It might come true, or it may not. In many ways, God always knows and give the best… As Billy Boen wrote in his book, if you can’t do the job you love, then love the one you do. And I’ll say I do, I do love what I’m doing now.

PS: God, is there anyway I could be a freelance travel-writer somehow? Okay, sorry, stop pinching my nose. I asked too much, didn’t I?
